Ahead of your scheduled Powder Brows appointment, here are key preparation guidelines to help you achieve optimal results:

  1. Understand the Procedure: Prior to your appointment, familiarize yourself with the Powder Brows process. Our website offers detailed information on the procedure, the latest styles, and answers to common queries.

  2. Anticipate Minimal Redness: While severe redness is rare, some degree of skin reddening may occur post-procedure. Different skin types may have varying reactions, so please plan accordingly. Typically, any redness subsides within 45 minutes.

  3. Keep Makeup to a Minimum: On the day of your appointment, avoid heavy makeup, particularly on your eyebrows. Light daily makeup is acceptable.

  4. Medication Precautions: Refrain from taking specific medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and other pain relievers 48 hours prior to your appointment. Also avoid any medication with significant bodily effects or those that thin the blood (e.g., Marevan, Asa, Primaspan, Klexan, Plavix, etc).

  5. Alcohol Consumption: For best results, avoid alcoholic beverages for 48 hours before the procedure. If you've consumed a significant amount of alcohol the night before, we recommend rescheduling your appointment.

  6. Retin A (Tretinoin) Usage: If you use skincare products containing Retin A (tretinoin), reduce usage on the eyebrow area two weeks prior to your appointment. This also applies to products with a high concentration of Vitamin A.

  7. AHA Skincare Products: Avoid using Alpha-hydroxy-acid (AHA) skincare products a week before the procedure. Additionally, limit the use of anti-aging products on your brow area two weeks before your appointment.

  8. Blood Donation: To prevent possible discomfort or complications, avoid donating blood on the day of, and the day after, your procedure.

  9. Eyebrow Treatments: For optimal results, refrain from threading, tweezing, or waxing your eyebrows one week prior to the procedure.

  10. Medical History Disclosure: Provide our Powder Brows professional with any pertinent information regarding your allergies, chronic illnesses, or previous adverse reactions to cosmetic substances. We require clients to complete a health statement in the salon, detailing any health conditions or factors such as pregnancy that could affect the procedure.

By adhering to these guidelines, you significantly increase the likelihood of a smooth, successful Powder Brows procedure.
